🌈

🌈
When: Friday, June 7 - Sunday, June 9 (Parade on June 9th 12pm, Woodstock Comeau Property to Colony Garden)

area famous.
About Woodstock Pride
Woodstock New York Pride’s mission is to amplify voices and promote awareness of the universal human need for everyone, irrespective of gender or sexual orientation, to be seen, respected, accepted, and loved. We recognize that achieving this vision requires meaningful involvement and collaboration with the people we serve by actively engaging with the community through the arts, outreach efforts, youth initiatives, and the creation of safe spaces. Through collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to equity, we believe that together, we can build a more inclusive community rooted in the spirit of Woodstock’s history.
About Stonewall Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI)
Queerly Inc. and Woodstock NY Pride are partnering with The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI) to raise money for their mission. SIGBI is the official charitable giving organization of the historic Stonewall Inn, the birthplace of the modern gay rights movement and centerpiece of one of the United State's newest national monuments. SIGBI is developing its SIGBI Safe Spaces certification to identify entertainment venues, food and beverage locations, Stores, businesses and other public venues, as Safe Spaces for LGBTQ+ members of the community.
The weekend was planned by the Woodstock Pride committee, headed up by Queerly [@queerlyqueerly] co-founders and partners Aileen Morgan and Megan Ghiroli. “Woodstock Pride originated as a small, informal gathering of local friends in December 2022, when we committed to coming together again after a beloved local queer-friendly bar R&R closed its doors,” said Morgan “This year, we’re excited to make it official and bring it to life with the entire community.”
Megan Reynolds, the former owner of the R&R Taproom on Mill Hill Road, said: “It’s so important to have safe spaces to gather and connect; they’re the fabric of the community, especially for our queer neighbors. And as a longtime Woodstock resident, I’m happy our little bar was there as an ally, at the very beginning.”
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Woodstock NY Pride’s initiative is to actively engage with the Hudson Valley including the youth, businesses, and artists through collaboration & community engagement with the LGTBQ+. We will be actively reaching out and encouraging everyone to get involved whether it is all month long or the day of the Parade. We are encouraging the community to raise awareness
through store or retails displays, pride promotions at their business, book talks, film screenings or pride food items on menus to name a few. We are empowering individuals and organizations to embrace diversity, celebrate LGBTQ+ pride, and amplify our mission and vision across the Hudson Valley.
